Boyd Living Shoreline, Georgetown, SC

SRG partnered with The Nature Conservancy to source and build wooden bundles that will be used in a breakwater structure at Morgan Park in Georgetown, SC. The bundles will displace wave energy and allow sand accretion behind the structure helping to naturally build back the eroding land.

Update: After a year on the beach, the wooden bundles have trapped 1+ feet of sediment behind them. In December of 2025, our team recycled Christmas trees to add more material to help trap even more sediment.
